Ongoing Projects
Old Comics
- Chemical Comics Daily: My daily
comics, part of the Daily Grind Iron Man Challenge. More info inside. (Feb.2005 - Feb.2009)
- Stripfight
comics : Some comics I've done for a weekly internet comic
competition. (note: these
comics contain nudity and language that may be objectionable. Viewer
discretion is advised.)(2004 - 2006)
- Desert
Island : A comic with my friend Xith where
we each took turns drawing panels. I did panels 1, 3, 5, etc. and
Xith did panels 2, 4, 6, etc. [Now on page
two!] (begun 12 April 2004, abandoned 2005)
- Jam Comics: Some random comics done
with people here in my town (2004)
- 24 Hour
Comic 2004 : Like the title says, this
is the comic I did for 24 Hour Comics Day. The objective of the
event is to complete a fully inked and lettered 24-page comic book
in 24 hours or less. Quality was bound to suffer... (note: this
comic contains nudity and language that may be objectionable. Viewer
discretion is advised.) (26 April 2004)
- Slime : A
random comic I did for absolutely no reason except that I like slime. (22
September 2002)
- Crow With 2
Names : Here are the first three pages of an
old comic I did with my best friend Josh. We used to spend summers
in my dad's basement in NJ, drawing comics we would later abort. To
be honest, it was usually my fault for not keeping up with the
drawing. Still, those were damned good days. (by the way, this was drawn before
it was cool for white people to rip off the manga comics style.) (circa 1995)
- Time travel
comic : Another aborted comic, this time from
those oh-so painful high school years. This aborted 2.5-page gem
is chock-a-block full of awkward anatomy (pretty sad that I haven't
improved by now either), cheesy "hard-boiled" dialogue, and just
a very cringe-worthy aesthetic. It made me laugh seeing it
again. Hopefully it'll do the same for you. (circa 1989)
Misc. Artwork
- Mozilla (2009): M.O.D.O.K. meets Godzilla, drawn for a friend.
- G is for grinning giraffe (2008)
- Q is for quarreling queens (2008)
- City Scene (2008)
- Work Sketches 06: Some more
random stuff I drew when I should have been working in 2008.
- Work Sketches 05: Still more
random stuff I drew when I should have been working in 2008.
- Work Sketches 04: Even more
random stuff I drew when I should have been working in 2008.
- Work Sketches 03: Yet more
random stuff I drew when I should have been working in 2007.
- Work Sketches 02: More
random stuff I drew when I should have been working in 2007.
- Cinema Sewer tribute: My
friend Robin publishes a wonderfully
filthy magazine about underground cinema. My dream has always been to draw a cover
for it, so I went ahead and did one for my own amusement.
- Work Sketches 01: At my
job we use small cards for customers' special orders. Occasionally I draw on them and color
the sketches with Hi-Liter markers. Random stuff from 2007.
- Drowning in a river / Drowning due to magic May 2006: Two
unused illustrations for someone's role-playing game, "Drowning & Falling."
- Politic$: Just something
silly I did in April 2006.
- Cinema Sewer art summer
2005: I did this piece for the 2006 Cinema Sewer calendar, an annual calendar
featuring various artists illustrating cult films. My piece was printed inside the
back cover.
- TV sketch 2005: Some guy I saw on TV one night.
- Love 2005: A hopeless case of adoration.
- Retired September 2004: A
hasty sketch I sent with a letter to Dave Sim after his comic "Cerebus" finished up.
- Good Or
Evil April 2004: Scrawled on a placemat at a local
restaurant, colored hastily on my PC.
- Mo Matching
Drapes 2002 : I went to school with some guys who formed
the greatest band in the world and moved to NYC. I drew this pic
and sent it to singer / multi-instrumentalist / rock god Chris
Brunelle. They put it on their website.
- Canyon circa
1998: 3D landscape image.
- The Far North circa 1998: Another 3D landscape image.
Bonus-type thing
Timmy the Clown circa late
1970s: My brother drew this poster advertising "Chris'es Country Fair" featuring
me, "Timmy the Clown," when he and I were probably around 6 and 3 years old
respectively. Apparently, if you attend the event "you'll laugh your head off."
All comics & pictures are (C) Tim Hulsizer.
